Have used Breville BCG800XL daily for the past 6 weeks or so. Gives an even, consistent grind every day. I love that I can put the filter under the chute and just start it up. When we first used Breville BCG800XL Grinder, I thought there might be something wrong with it. But it turns out the exit chute was simply clogged. Since clearing it out (with the included brush), we've not had one problem with Breville BCG800XL Coffee Grinder.

The dial/knob on the side functions curiously, to me: one click on the knob does not always equal one tick on the digital display.

So I suspect the knob is not mechanical, but is sending a digital signal to a controller, which in turn moves the burrs. They could have simply used buttons instead, but the dial probably makes users feel more in control. In any case, it doesn't affect the output. Breville BCG800XL is a great grinder, love it.

Its settings allow you to get exactly the same amount of coffee at the same grind every time without the hassle of removing a sub container to retrieve your coffee. Grind straight into your Portafilters, brew baskets or even paper filters.

No more powered coffee sticking to the inside of plastic containers that build up static. No more mess on the counter. Breville BCG800XL Coffee Grinder is not as noisy as most grinders such as many Cuisinart models which of course are cheaper, but far less quality. The Kitchen Aid Pro which is slightly less money falls well short of the operational quality of the Breville. Breville BCG800XL grinds espresso fine enough to choke even the best pressurized systems. It does a fair job of grinding for the other end of the scale in French Press, could be a bit courser, but very good none the less.
